Amazon.com Reading Group Guides
The popular internet bookstore's collection of Reading Group Guides features lists of discussion questions for titles from a variety of publishers. The collection can be browsed by genre and includes nonfiction and business titles. Feature articles present lists such as "Books for Mother-Daughter Book Groups" and "Books for Corporate Book Groups."

BookBrowse.com
The Reading Group site from BookBrowse.com. The unique feature of this site is that excerpts are included for all featured titles, as well as reading guides, author interviews, and other features. The site contains a wealth of information on how to start and run a book group, and a useful guide on how to create your own Readers Guide for a book.

Hachette Book Group USA
A collection of reading group guides from the company that acquired Time Warner Book Group. Browse selected titles or search the complete list by title, author, or category.

Penguin Putnam Reading Group Guides
This publisher's site offers the most comprehensive reading group guides on over 100 titles by renowned contemporary authors such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez, E. L. Doctorow, and Dorothy Allison. Each guide includes detailed literary criticism, an essay about the author, and topics and questions for discussion. The site also includes suggestions for starting a book discussion group.

Random House Reading Group
One of the best publisher's sites, Random House presents Reading Guides for books by many of the finest contemporary writers, from Pulitzer prizewinner Michael Chabon to Jane Smiley, Alice Walker, and other authors popular with book groups. The collection includes classics and nonfiction and can be browsed by author, title, or genre.

Reading Group Choices
A large collection of reading group guides searchable by author or title. They are also published in annual volumes which can be found in the circulating collection of the library under the call number 028.9 REA. The website includes a bulletin board where members of book groups can share information and ideas.

The Readers Place
An online community for booklovers featuring discussions on just about every genre of literature you can think of. Choose from medieval, 19th century, children's, romance, mystery, poetry, and many more. This site also includes book news, feature articles, and reviews.

Reading Group Guides.com
The best all-around site gathers into one place everything you need to start, lead, and enjoy book discussions. Over 500 guides are available and can be browsed by area of interest such as Gay/Lesbian, Jewish, or short stories. The new recommendations feature is updated frequently, and the site includes interesting special features such as essays by authors, and interviews with book groups from around the country.

SeniorNet Books & Literature Discussions
This site offers numerous online book discussions for a wide variety of reading interests, frequently including participation by authors. The organization holds an annual Bookfest gathering.

Simon Says
An extensive collection of reading group guides from the publisher Simon & Schuster, including titles from The Free Press, Scribner, and Touchstone Books. The site includes online discussion boards, and an email notification service when new guides are added.

SparkNotes
SparkNotes offer Study Guides that are just as useful for book discussion groups as they are for students. Available titles cover a broad range of literature including contemporary classics. Free registration is required to use the site.
